The colours are very forgiving but here is a general guide:
Fairly Light - for the very palest porcelain complexion
Light - For very light skin, has golden undertones; good for covering excessive redness
Medium Beige - a perfect medium, failsafe colour for most white, Mediterranean or light Asian skin
Tan - good for medium toned Asian skin, tanned White skin or Mediterranean skin. Has slightly red / brown tones
Medium Tan - Very deeply tanned skin, medium Asian skins with golden undertones
